Janaé Llopis, Psy.D.

Dr. Llopis, a New Orleans native, is passionate about supporting individuals, couples, and families through compassionate, culturally responsive care. She began her journey in psychology providing Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related developmental disabilities, which sparked her deep appreciation for behavioral interventions and family-centered support. This work also deepened her understanding into how early childhood development and trauma may affect development, relationships, and life into adulthood.

Dr. Llopis takes an integrative approach, blending variable therapy modalities, like Psychodynamic Therapy, and other evidence-based practices to meet each client’s unique needs. She has extensive experience in assessments for academic and life skills accommodations, as well as in providing therapy and evaluations for children, teens, adults, and families navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral concerns.

Her work is guided by a belief in the power of culturally affirming and trauma-informed care, and she is especially dedicated to creating safe, supportive spaces for African American and underserved communities. She believes in care that honors identity, culture, and community.
